Hey there—I’m Renee, the librarian behind Mouseprint Press.
I’ve worn a lot of hats over the years: high school English teacher, college theatre and film professor, and now elementary school librarian. But it’s this last role that changed how I see everything.
In the library, I get to witness kids becoming. They walk in wide-eyed, unsure, and slowly start to see themselves as readers, thinkers, creators. It’s quiet work, but powerful.
I want Mouseprint Press to feel the same.
What is Mouseprint Press?
It all started with a book—The Mouse with the Question Mark Tail by Richard Peck. I’ve always loved stories about mice (small but brave, right?), and the name Mouseprint Press just kind of appeared and stuck. It felt like what I was building: a tiny imprint of ideas, made to support big, meaningful beginnings. So, here I hope you will find a cozy corner of the internet where literacy, creativity, and story come together. My focus is primarily on K–2 resources for those early years that support foundational skills and spark joy. As the site grows, you can expect more offerings like readers’ theatre, visual writing prompts, and SEL-rich literacy tools to name a few.
What’s the goal?
To give teachers tools that actually help. To create things that feel personal, not mass-produced. And maybe to remind all of us—kids and grown-ups—that small stories matter. That beginnings matter.
